The Similipal Talks is a collegiate-level dialogue series designed to explore the multifaceted dimensions of Similipal National Park while focusing on biodiversity conservation through art. Conducted in association with the Similipal Tiger Conservation Foundation, the series features monthly lectures by distinguished experts, followed by interactive question-and-answer sessions.

The initiative aims to engage students across disciplines, fostering critical thinking and encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue by connecting academic learning with real-world ecological, cultural, and socio-economic issues while focusing on wildlife conservation in Odisha. It seeks to cultivate awareness, responsibility, and a sense of stewardship among young learners, while providing insights into the lives and challenges of communities in the Similipal region.

A session titled “Similipal Matters: Listening to the Forest, Learning from its People” was held at the Department of Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation, Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University on 6 December 2025. The session was chaired by Prof. Pramod Kumar Sathpathy, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, and featured Sashiprava Bindhani, former State Information Commissioner of Odisha, as the guest speaker.
