An Experiential Art Workshop as part of the Similipal Initiative and the Lighthouse Project at Barehipani, Similipal Tiger Reserve, Odisha
MGM Foundation hosted Similipal Sketches – An Experiential Art Workshop as part of the Similipal Initiative and the Lighthouse Project from 29 November to 4 December 2025 at Barehipani, Similipal Tiger Reserve, Odisha. The workshop brought together noted artists and practitioners, including Padma Shri Adwaita Gadanayak, Harshvardhan Sharma, Kalyan Barik, Kirti Chandak, Madhu Venugopalan, Manas Pati, Nivedita Mishra, Suresh K. Nair, Samarjeet Behera, Trupti Joshi, and Umesh Nayak.
Working closely with local communities, the workshop explored the Ol Chiki script, Santali cultural expression, and place-based narratives, contributing to the ongoing Lighthouse Project, which foregrounds tribal language, identity, and everyday cultural practices around Similipal.
